Terms

Draft. This is placeholder text for the first release of Lock In Hour. The final terms will be published before launch.

The service

Lock In Hour is a web app and a Chrome extension for scheduled deep-work sessions (Dives). It scores each Dive (Deep Score), awards points (Fathoms) and publishes a daily leaderboard (the Depth Chart). It is an early release: features, rules and point values may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued.

Your account

• You sign in with your X account and must follow X’s own rules.
• You are responsible for what you write in your Dive plan and proof. Buddies can see both.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

Fair play

• Scores are computed by our server from events your browser reports. Do not fake them: no virtual cameras, modified clients or extensions, or automated input.
• We may void Dives, reset scores or close accounts that cheat, harass others, or abuse the Depth Chart or share features.

The extension

During a Dive the extension blocks distracting sites, can mute Chrome notifications if you turn that on, and reports tab changes and keyboard or mouse inactivity to the web app. It does nothing outside Dives except keep its connection to the web app.

No warranty

Lock In Hour is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it.
